Mongolia
The national flag of Mongolia consists of three vertical stripes in red, blue and red, with the golden Soyombo symbol on the hoist-side red stripe. Red symbolizes prosperity and resilience, blue represents the eternal sky, and the Soyombo embodies freedom, independence, strength and the continuity of the Mongolian nation.
Mongolia officially adopted its current national flag on February 12, 1992, following the country's democratic transition. The design retained the traditional colors and Soyombo symbol while removing the socialist star that had appeared on earlier versions.
