Thailand
The national flag of Thailand, known as the Tricolour, consists of five horizontal stripes in red, white, blue, white and red. Red symbolizes the nation and its people, white represents Buddhism and purity, and the wider blue stripe signifies the monarchy. Together, the colors reflect Thailand's traditional motto of Nation, Religion and King.
Thailand officially adopted its current national flag on September 28, 1917, during the reign of King Vajiravudh (Rama VI). The blue central stripe replaced an earlier red stripe to honor the monarchy and align with the colors of Thailand's World War I allies.
