Sami
The Sámi flag features four horizontal bands in red, blue, green and yellow with a circular symbol divided into a red and blue half. The colors originate from the traditional Sámi gákti (clothing). The circle represents both the sun (red) and the moon (blue), symbolizing balance, nature and the spiritual traditions of the Sámi people.
The Sámi flag was officially adopted on August 15, 1986, during the 13th Nordic Sámi Conference in Åre, Sweden. Designed by Astrid Båhl, it serves as the common flag of the Sámi people living across northern Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.
