Saint Lucia
The national flag of Saint Lucia features a light blue field with a black and white isosceles triangle topped by a yellow triangle. The blue symbolizes the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, the yellow represents sunshine and prosperity, while the black and white triangles reflect the island's African and European heritage and the iconic Pitons.
Saint Lucia officially adopted its current national flag on March 1, 1967, when it became an Associated State of the United Kingdom. Designed by Dunstan St. Omer, the flag was retained after independence on February 22, 1979, with minor proportional adjustments.
