Cambodia
The national flag of Cambodia consists of three horizontal stripes in blue, red and blue with a white depiction of Angkor Wat at the center. The blue stripes symbolize liberty, cooperation and the monarchy, the red represents the nation and the courage of its people, while Angkor Wat reflects Cambodia's cultural heritage, spirituality and national identity.
The Cambodian flag was first adopted in 1948 and underwent several changes during periods of political transition. Following the restoration of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the current design was officially reinstated on September 24, 1993. It remains one of the few national flags featuring a prominent architectural monument.
