Iraq

The national flag of Iraq consists of three horizontal stripes in red, white and black with the green Arabic inscription 'Allahu Akbar' across the white stripe. Red symbolizes courage and sacrifice, white represents peace and a hopeful future, black reflects Iraq's historical resilience, and the green inscription represents Islam.

The current national flag of Iraq was officially adopted on January 22, 2008. It retained the traditional Pan-Arab colors while modifying earlier versions by removing the three stars and preserving the green Takbir inscription as a symbol of the nation's identity.
