Altai Republic

The flag of the Altai Republic consists of four horizontal stripes in white and light blue. White symbolizes peace, purity and harmony among the region's peoples, while light blue represents the clear skies, rivers and the cultural heritage of the Altai Mountains. The design reflects the republic's natural beauty and unity.

The current flag of the Altai Republic was officially adopted on April 2, 1992, shortly after the republic was established within the Russian Federation.
