Qatar

The national flag of Qatar features a maroon field separated from a white vertical band by a serrated line with nine white points. The white symbolizes peace, while the maroon color reflects Qatar's historical association with purple dye production and the nation's heritage. The nine points signify Qatar as the ninth member of the reconciled Emirates of the Persian Gulf.

Qatar officially adopted its current national flag on July 9, 1971, shortly before gaining full independence from the United Kingdom. Its distinctive maroon color and nine-point serrated edge make it one of the world's most recognizable national flags.
