Panama
The national flag of Panama is divided into four quarters: white with a blue star, red, blue, and white with a red star. Blue represents the Conservative Party, red represents the Liberal Party, while the white quarters symbolize peace and harmony. The blue star stands for purity and honesty, and the red star represents authority and law.
Panama officially adopted its current national flag on December 20, 1903, shortly after gaining independence from Colombia. It became the permanent national flag in 1925 and symbolizes political balance, national unity and the sovereignty of the Republic of Panama.
