North-Brabant

The flag of North Brabant features a distinctive red-and-white checkered pattern of twenty-four squares. Its design originates from the medieval Duchy of Brabant and symbolizes the province's historical heritage, unity and regional identity.

The current flag of North Brabant was officially adopted on January 21, 1959. Inspired by medieval banners of the Duchy of Brabant, it is one of the oldest heraldic designs still used by a Dutch province.
