Aborigines

The Aboriginal flag consists of a black upper half, a red lower half and a yellow circle at the center. Black represents the Aboriginal people of Australia, red symbolizes the earth and spiritual connection to the land, and the yellow circle represents the sun, the giver of life.

The Australian Aboriginal Flag was designed by Aboriginal artist Harold Thomas in 1971 during the Aboriginal land rights movement. It became an official flag of Australia in 1995 and remains a powerful symbol of Aboriginal identity and culture.
