Syria

The national flag of Syria consists of three horizontal stripes in green, white and black, with three red five-pointed stars centered on the white band. The colors are traditional Pan-Arab colors with deep historical significance. Green is associated with Syria’s historical heritage, white represents peace and hope, and black reflects periods of struggle in Arab history. The three red stars are a distinctive feature of the flag and originate from an earlier Syrian national design. The flag was officially established in its current form under Syria’s 2025 Constitutional Declaration.

The green, white, and black flag with three red stars has historical roots in Syria and was originally introduced during the independence era. It was readopted following the political transition in December 2024 and became Syria's official national flag under the 2025 Constitutional Declaration.
